AIM-1620 Analog DC Input Module

ACM-1620The AIM-1620 provides 16 DC analog input channels. Two modules are mountable in one 3U bin. All channels are 5 kV optically isolated.

 

A field termination module is fully integrated in the unit with disconnect switches and test points provided for all input channels.

All analog input channels are differential and bipolar with a range of +/-20 mA with a channel scanning cycle of 500 milliseconds.

Using the WebCAN Designer input channels can be configured as:

  • 20 mA DC Inputs with adjustable maximum current of 20 or 21 mA,
    configurable reporting deadband, averaging time and
    alarm thresholds.
  • Analog Transformer TAP Changer Indication with configuration option for TAP start/end position and current, validation time and deadband.

The panel mount LCD automatically detects two AIM-1620 modules installed.


Process values and the module status is shown from both modules.

Input substitution is supported and the substituted values are displayed.

The fiber optic field-net communication port is a low cost plastic fiber system compliant with CANOpen standards.

Modules are arranged in a star configuration and can be distributed for up to 50 meters.

Two AIM-1620 modules from the same bin are automatically linked to a CFE-20 module through the same fiber optic link.
