DIM 6420 - Digital Input Module

DIM-6420The DIM-6420 is a substation hardened 64 channel 5 kV optically isolated digital input module with onboard microprocessor for local data processing and communication.

The input channels are bipolar and segmented into four 16 channel groups.

The input voltage is individually adjustable from 24 Vdc to 240 Vdc for each  group.

1 millisecond time resolution is enforced in all event time stamps.

A field termination module is fully integrated in the unit. It has disconnect switches and test points for all input channels.

Using the WebCAN Designer input channels can be configured as:

  • Single or Double Point Inputs with adjustable ON/OFF filter time, inverse logic and automatic suppression options
  • Type A or B Counters with configuration option for cyclic reporting
  • Transformer TAP Position Inputs maximum of 64 TAP positions
  • BCD Inputs configurable from 1 to 7 digits and strobe/timer trigger option

The panel mount external LCD shows the module status and all process data in easy-to-read text format.

Input substitution is supported with clear indication on the LCD.

The fiber optic field-net communication port is a cost effective plastic fiber system compliant with CANOpen standards.

Modules are configured as star topology and can be distributed up to 50 meters.
