OpenPCS is a software tool designed by German Software House infoteam for designing, creating, downloading and testing PLC programs. It is the only IEC61131-3 workbench certified for Portability Level by PLCopen. The high degree of IEC61131 compliance of OpenPCS is documented by PLCopen for Base Level as well as Portability Level.

OpenPCS provides programming tools for languages such as IL Instruction List, ST Structured Text, LD Ladder Editor, FBD Function Block Diagram, SFC Sequential Function Chart and CFC Continuous Function Chart.

WebCAN PLC projects can be edited, maintained, downloaded and tested through OpenPCS. The WebCAN Designer generates automatically all variable declarations required to access I/O and their qualifier flags through PLC code.

In addition to object values all object qualifier flags can be used in any programming language. When the I/O configuration is changed through the WebCAN Designer, these changes are automatically updated in the PLC project without affecting the PLC code.
